
Sky News presents special Budget programme
On Wednesday 24 March, Chancellor Alistair Darling will deliver his final Budget before the General Election.
Sky News Presenter Dermot Murnaghan will present a special six-hour programme on Wednesday 24 March from 1100 to 1700, featuring expert opinion and analysis on the unfolding events. The coverage will also include Prime Minister’s Questions and the Budget statement. Sky News Political Editor Adam Boulton will report live from Westminster, while Jeff Randall will be interviewing guests at Sky News’ city studio.
Kay Burley will present live from the Calder Valley in Yorkshire where she will be talking to voters, local businesses and candidates for the next election. Kay will assess how the Chancellor’s proposals are being received in this crucial constituency.
Guests on the day will include Liberal Democrat MP, Danny Alexander, Conservative MP, Theresa May, Lloyd’s Chairman, Lord Levene, Labour MP, Liam Byrne, TUC General Secretary, Brendan Barber and former Chancellor of the Exchequer, Lord Lamont.
