Kay Burley

Kay Burley is the longest-serving female newsreader on British television. Host of "Afternoon Live with Kay Burley" from 2-5pm daily, she has covered some of the world's biggest news stories, from the deaths of Diana, Princess of Wales and Michael Jackson, to the Asian Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina and the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York. Her exclusive interviews range from prime ministers and royalty to celebrities and saw her shortlisted for presenter of the year alongside Jon Snow and Andrew Neil. Her interview with Rebecca Loos still rates among the highest-watched programmes on Sky TV. When she's not presenting on TV, Kay aspires to The Good Life - she has 13 hens, three Irish Setters, sponsors two donkeys and has passed a course in pig-rearing in preparation for her much-desired move to the country. She sells her home-grown veg and eggs at Sky to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity she is proud ambassador for. She was also voted What Satellite TV's "Most Desirable Woman" for three consecutive years. Kay was flattered, her teenage son Alexander embarrassed!
