Andrew Wilson

Andrew has been a Live at Five Presenter since 2007.

Prior to that, he has twenty years experience in Foreign News coverage.

Since the fall of the Berlin wall in 1989 Andrew has covered almost every major conflict around the world, from Kuwait to Bosnia, and from Haiti to Chechnya. He was with the first wave of Western reporters to cross overland into Kabul in 2001, and he sat out Hurricane Katrina in a Mississippi Motel.

He has covered two Presidential elections, watched Boris Yeltsin resign on Millennium night, and fronted Sky’s coverage of the Tsunami in Thailand.

He ran three foreign bureaux for Sky; Russia, Jerusalem and latterly Washington. Andrew won international awards for his coverage from all three postings.

Since returning to the UK he has presented Sky’s Afghan coverage from Helmand Province, the uprising in Burma, and the Russian invasion of Georgia.
